Another addition to the FMR (Fast Metal Removal) line is the new and exciting HELIPLUS.
HELIPLUS is an extension of the HELI2000 family which currently uses the HM90 APKT 1003 and HM90 ADKT 1505 inserts with 10 and 15 mm cutting edge lengths.
The HELIPLUS families use the HP ADKT 2207 PDR insert with a
22 mm cutting edge length and the HP ANKT 0702.. with the 7 mm cutting edge length.
The HP ADKT 2207 PDR Insert
The HP ADKT 2207 PDR insert with its 22 mm cutting edge length provides an incredible 50% longer edge than that of an
HM90 ADKT 1505 insert.
The HP ADKT/CT and CR 2207 PDR inserts feature a progressive
evelopment of the HELI 2000 high helix cutting edge.
The insert exerts a low force, leaving a high surface finish along a
21 mm shoulder.
The HELIPLUS can replace any other extended flute milling cutters which use shorter inserts.
The HP ADKT 2207 PDR insert was designed with two clamping holes for reliable and secure clamping. This is an important feature for high cutting speeds as it is very stable and secure in the cut and allows high tooth load.
HELIPLUS milling cutters can be used for very steep helical interpolations and for penetration into deep cavities.
HARD TOUCH, hard nickel coating protects the cutter body from wear and tear, increasing tool life.
For high precision and super finish milling, HELIPLUS is another advanced design from ISCAR's world-famous HELIMILL family, featuring high 90° shoulder accuracy with no mismatch, leaving a clean mirror-like side wall.
Another huge benefit is also a 32° ramping ability.
HELIPLUS is also capable of performing plunging applications.
This cutter has a soft and clean cut due to helical cutting edges and high axial rake angles. After long periods of use it still looks like new, due to the new HARD TOUCH nickel coating.
The HP ANKT 0702.. Insert
Another extension of the HELI2000 family is the HP ANKT 0702.. insert which features a shorter cutting edge of 7 mm. The first two families that feature the new insert are the HP E90AN endmills
(10-40 mm diameter range) and the HP F90AN face mills (32-63 mm diameter range). Both families have similar advantages to the HELI2000, plus higher tooth density when compared to cutters that carry either the HM90 ADKT 1505.. , HM90 APKT 1003.. or even the S/X/QOMT 0602.. inserts.
The high tooth density enables machining at a very high table feed, resulting in high productivity.
Features:

machined surface mismatch and provide very accurate
shoulder and 90° slot wall angle.
